Education

The program is broken down into 3 key components ‘Eat smart, Move more, Think thin’. This is ‘The New Me’ philosophy; the 3 key elements which enable obesity rehabilitation and ensure successful long term weight loss.

Eat Smart

The diet component of the program works on a high level of education on a vast variety of topics. This education takes place in the form of practical sessions and works out of ‘The New Me’ work book. The kitchen is stocked with foods, that are considered acceptable foods abiding by the low carb, low calorie, low fat and high protein foods that create ‘The New Me’ diet change and all guests are taught how to and made to prepare their own food in our kitchen, allowing them through the preparation of all meals for the period of their visit to develop the necessary skill set to succeed with their weight loss by mastering their cooking and eating skills and altering their relationship with food. All meal preparation, calorie counting and food workshops are compulsory as a part of ‘The New Me’ program.

Move More

Specific to weight loss and individual training needs; guests will participate in several group training sessions each training day and loads of incidental activities on the recovery days. All of the workouts have been tailored to suit the conditions of our guests. We have a team of professionals who specifically train overweight people. All exercise is managed and programmed by ‘The New Me’s’ experienced and hand chosen team members. Most of our trainers have also had a weight issue at some stage or they are disciplined masters in their fields. Training takes place on and off the property with majority being cross training circuit classes using high cardio and body weight resistance ensuring a great variety. This greater variety will prevent boredom and the interval style of training is proven to be the fastest way to get fit which means the most effective way to burn calories, they will not by any means all be conducted only in our state of the art personal training studio, we also utilize the outdoors and surrounding areas too. While training is a major part of the program it should never be the only reason you come; and all training is compulsory as a part of ‘The New Me’ program.

Think Thin

Classes, workshops and 1 on 1 sessions run during the course of the program are based on ‘The New Me’s philosophies ‘Eat Smart, Move More, Think Thin’ created and delivered by Adro Sarnelli and his specialised team of professionals including our psychologist who runs weekly workshops and 1 on 1 sessions with an emphasis on understanding how you got here and coaching towards changing.
The lessons, classes & psychology workshops are compulsory as a part of ‘The New Me’ program.

These three philosophies are major components of our obesity rehabilitation program; the psychological aspect along with the physical training and the food awareness and practice all ensure that weight loss and the life lessons learned are able to be instilled and then re-applied by you after leaving us. It is important that one realizes these are the key elements to success if you are chasing success you must be open to understanding and exploring all three of them equally and then of course applying what you have learned and lived relating to all three of these elements during your time with us.
